"William Thomas Bowman, son of John and Margaret Bowman, was born here in 1884 [CORRECT DATE: 1854] and died in the southwest June 21, 1933. His first wife was Elizabeth, daughter of William P. and Ruth Carnes, nee Branson. She was born in Osage County January 21, 1856, and died here January 1, 1896. The one child born of this marriage, Della, now the wife of Jack Krone, lives about four miles east of Vienna. William T. Bowman was later married in the west and was the father of five children by the second marriage: Everett (all 'round Rodeo Champion of the World, 1935), Richard, Edward, John, and Maud, now Mrs. Campbell. All these children, with his surviving widow, live in the southwest."

"Margaret Ann Noblett, whom we believe to have been the oldest daughter of the family, was born November 19, 1816, and died August 22, 1881. She married John Bowman, who was born April 1812, and died January 4, 1897. The date and place of their marriage are not known, but they were probably married before they came to this county. Both spent the remainder of their lives and died in this county east of Lanes Prairie."
