"John A. Noblett, the remaining member of the family, made his home with Abraham Johnson from early manhood, and served in Johnson's command during the Civil War. He married shortly after its close, his first wife being a Dunnivin, and lived the remainder of his life at the mouth of Dry Creek on land bought from Johnson. The only child of thhis marriage was L. E. Noblett, who married Edna, widow of George Miller, and who is also dead, leaving seven children: Raymond, John, Claude, Rhea, wife of Nic Cox, and Vera whose married name is not known, all of Montana; Ellie lives in this county; Leo, the remaining child, was killed in a train wreck in Wyoming withing the last year, leaving a family in that state.

Five children were born of John A. Noblett's second marriage, whick was to mary Boyd; Oliver died single, his twin brother having died in infancy; Minnie, the oldest daughter, was the first wife of William Beckman, and was the mother of two children, Dewey and William, one of whom is still living, probably in St. Louis; Julia married Frank Fulton of Newburg and is survived by one son, Clyde, of Springfield; Edna, the remaining child, married Frank T.
